Attorney Jessica M. Nelson is an associate at SWMW Law. She joined the firm in 2022, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.
A team member in the firm’s Asbestos Practice, Jessica investigates asbestos-containing products, helping to maximize recovery for asbestos clients.
Before joining the firm, Jessica worked as a paralegal throughout law school and then as an associate at a Pittsburgh-based asbestos firm.
A NO-NONSENSE ADVOCATE
Jessica prides herself in her ability to connect with clients, a trait that she considers imperative in asbestos litigation.
“Clients suffering from an asbestos-related disease are often living the most difficult part of their lives,” she said. “It’s important they know that I’m here for them in every way possible, that they can call me with any questions or concerns, and that they can rest easy knowing that I’m working on a positive outcome for them.”
Jessica thrives in the fast-paced world of asbestos litigation and realizes the important of tailoring her approach to a case based on each client’s unique situation. Her dedication applies to the community as well as the courtroom. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Women in the Law Division Council, as well as the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
When she’s not working, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog.
