Attorney Egan Biggs is an associate at SWMW Law. He joined the firm in 2026, focusing his practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.
Prior to joining SWMW Law, Egan worked in insurance defense, an experience that gave him valuable insight into how cases are evaluated and defended from the other side. Today, he brings that perspective to his work on behalf of individuals and families, combining it with the problem-solving skills, determination, and work ethic that have shaped his approach to practicing law.
For Egan, becoming an attorney was an opportunity to build a career around two things that have always motivated him: solving problems and helping others. He understands that clients often turn to an attorney during some of the most uncertain and difficult moments of their lives, and he believes earning their trust is just as important as advocating for them in the legal system.
“People come to us when they need someone in their corner,” Egan said. “I want my clients to know they can trust me to work hard, stay positive, and keep pushing forward on their behalf, no matter what challenges we face.”
That commitment takes on even greater meaning in his work with individuals diagnosed with mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. Egan is continually inspired by the strength of clients who are facing life-changing diagnoses while trying to make the most of the time they have with the people they love.
“Our clients wake up every day knowing their time may be limited, and that puts everything into perspective,” Egan said. “They inspire me to come to work ready to fight for them. They deserve an attorney who understands what’s at stake and who is determined to do everything possible to help them and their families.”
Egan believes his work ethic and determination are among his greatest strengths as an attorney. A former college baseball player, he learned early the value of preparation, perseverance, teamwork, and continuing to compete when things get difficult. Those lessons have followed him from the baseball field into the courtroom and continue to influence the way he approaches his clients and cases.
A St. Louis native, Egan is proud to call the area home. Outside of the office, he enjoys staying active and exploring everything his hometown has to offer. He can often be found visiting a local park or hiking a new trail, always looking for another corner of St. Louis to discover and appreciate.
