On February 5th, 2016 I was diagnosed with Malignant Pericardial Mesothelioma. Upon reading about this disease, I learned very quickly that my prognosis was bleak at best. I originally was contacted by a different law firm than SWMW, however, they gave my case over to SWMW shortly after my initial interview with them. That turned out to be the BEST thing that happened to me. I could tell within the first couple of contacts with SWMW law that they had my interest at the forefront. I never got the " run around " from them even when I was so unsure about how things were going in my particular case. My case was especially difficult to deal with as I didn't have any CLEAR cause of how I contracted this disease. They didn't care about the cause at that point, only that I had the disease and they were going to go forward and protect my rights. I have to say that my attorney, Steve Arristie, was and is still amazing. He is no way the " typical" lawyer type that I've come to expect from my past experience with lawyers. He actually cares !!! It wasn't a pretense with Steve. He kept me informed every step of the way during the trial phase of my case and to this day he contacts me twice a year just to see how I'm doing
