Traci E. Hoover

Associate

Attorney Traci E. Hoover is an associate at SWMW Law. She joined the firm in 2023, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.

A team member in the firm’s Asbestos Practice, Traci is involved in all stages of a case, from initial interviews to taking depositions and conducting product investigations in order to maximize recovery for clients. She also assists in personal injury matters.

Traci’s decision to become an attorney was heavily influenced by an experience she encountered with a longtime friend.

“One of my best friends found herself in a custody battle with a dangerous partner. She was confused, scared, and worried. As her friend, I wanted to do anything I could to help her but knew I needed the tools to do so,” she said. “Today, she has full custody and her son is thriving – and so is she. I’m exceptionally grateful that I could help her and advise her using the knowledge I gained in school and beyond.”

The passion and care Traci exhibited for her friend is mirrored by the passion and care she shows for her clients today.

“I care deeply about my clients and want the best results for them,” she said. “If it takes three hours on the phone, then it takes three hours on the phone. If it takes sending numerous letters and demands with evidence, then that’s what it takes. My clients deserve the best results after what they’ve been through, and I will always do everything in my power to make sure that happens.”

An experienced and respected litigator, Traci utilizes her skills in the courtroom, inquisitive nature, and compassion for those she represents to give clients their best chance at success. She is driven by the personal relationships she forms with her clients and considers herself personally invested in each case.

“It’s not lost on me that each client has a family that deeply cares about them as much as I care about my own,” she said. “I want clients to feel like I’m an extension of their family, someone that is personally invested in their success and shows up every day to fight for them, no matter what it takes. That fight will look different for everyone, and that personalized, individualized approach is where I shine.”

Prior to joining SWMW Law, Traci, a St. Louis native, lived in Kansas City, Missouri, where she studied French, Italian, and creative writing. From there, she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she attended the University of Dayton School of Law and received a CALI Award for Legal Innovations. Upon graduation, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, and worked in document review and family law. In family law, she worked on divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, pre-nuptial agreements, and other such cases. She then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked as an associate attorney at a plaintiffs firm and litigated personal injury cases.

Outside of her legal career, Traci is a devoted wife and mother of a young son. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, watching sci-fi, learning random historical facts, and playing video games. She’s previously fostered dogs with the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Missouri and intends to do so again once her son is older.
