Kyle P. Krause

Associate

Attorney Kyle P. Krause is an associate at SWMW Law. He joined the firm in 2023, focusing his practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.

A team member in the firm’s Asbestos Practice, Kyle supports the litigation team by investigating asbestos-containing products, helping to maximize recovery for asbestos clients.

Before joining the firm, Kyle worked as an associate attorney in Denver, CO where he gained valuable experience in learning how to work up personal injury claims, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for trial. He developed a passion for working closely with clients, leading him to transition into a new role working in civil litigation where he could develop more personal relationships with his clients. From there, he returned to St. Louis where he worked as an associate attorney for a local law firm, representing clients in personal injury matters where they were harmed through no fault of their own.

A Tenacious Advocate for Others

Kyle’s dream of being an attorney was first realized when he participated in a mock trial for his eighth-grade history class. That dream continued to develop while he attended St. Louis University High School (SLUH), where he joined the school’s competitive Mock Trial Team. After winning the State Trial Competition with his teammates, Kyle knew he had found a clear direction for his future as an attorney.

“SLUH is a Jesuit school which teaches the mantra: A Man for Others,” he said. “By competing with the Mock Trial Team, I learned that being an attorney was my way of embodying this mantra. Devoting my career to serving those who have been harmed, by being their trusted advocate in their time of need – it’s something I know I was born to do.”

Kyle prides himself in his ability to connect with clients, a trait he considers imperative in asbestos litigation.

“When I say that I care about my clients and will always go the proverbial extra mile for them, I mean it wholeheartedly,” he said. “The relationship between attorney and client is very special. I take that relationship seriously and always aim to explain their options in a way that they feel heard, comfortable, and empowered to make decisions. My clients can feel safe knowing that I will come at their case creatively and with a fresh perspective to find the best way to maximize the value of their case.”

In addition to his work as an attorney, Kyle is an active supporter of Motion for Kids, a St. Louis nonprofit that provides holiday gifts for children in foster care. He loves to cook, is close with his family, and enjoys playing golf with his father, brother-in-law, and friends.
