SWMW Law Associate Jessica M. Nelson Named to Top 40 Under 40 in Pennsylvania by The National Trial Lawyers

SWMW Law, one of the top plaintiffs law firms in the country focusing on representing victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases, as well as individuals harmed by consumer fraud, drugs and medical devices, catastrophic injury, and environmental and toxic exposures, is proud to announce associate attorney Jessica M. Nelson has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 – Civil Plaintiff for the state of Pennsylvania.

Membership in the NTL Top 40 Under 40 is by invitation only and is limited to the top 40 attorneys in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers in either civil plaintiff or criminal defense law. The selection process for this honor is based on a multi-phase process which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research.

Nelson joined SWMW Law in 2022 as an associate in the firm’s asbestos practice where she represents individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. An attorney in the firm’s Pittsburgh office, Nelson prides herself in her ability to connect with clients and uses her passion for helping others to ensure clients know they have a relatable and dependable advocate on their side.

“I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to receive this honor,” Nelson said. “I’m proud of my track record as an attorney, but even more proud to stand beside the clients I represent. They worked their entire lives to provide for their families and were irreparably and needlessly harmed in the process. For me, amplifying their voices and securing them the justice they deserve is the biggest honor of all.”

Nelson is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Missouri. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Millersville University where she was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University where she was the recipient of the Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award.
