Sarah Stofko (second from left), a litigation paralegal in the firm’s Pittsburgh office, recently volunteered at a Wills Clinic in Turtle Creek, PA. Sponsored by The Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, the event brings together attorneys, notaries, and witnesses to draft estate-planning documents free-of-charge for low-income senior citizens – including wills, living wills, and powers of attorney – saving them hundreds of dollars in the process.
A notary for more than 25 years, Sarah has participated in several similar events in the Pittsburgh area. Most recently, she volunteered as a notary for Wills for Heroes, which provides estate-planning documents free-of-charge for area veterans.
“Volunteering at this event was incredibly meaningful to me because everyone deserves peace of mind when it comes to their future and their loved ones,” Sarah said. “Estate planning can be overwhelming and costly, especially for seniors with limited income, and I wanted to use my skills to make the process a little easier and more accessible. Giving back to this community is both a privilege and a responsibility I’m proud to carry.”
Sarah is a great example of how our firm’s attorneys and support staff are as committed to our communities as we are to our clients. #BecausePeopleMatter
