Lauren leads the SWMW team that seeks recovery from companies who manufactured, supplied, and distributed asbestos-containing products, but who have petitioned for bankruptcy. She works to maximize recovery from asbestos manufacturers’ bankruptcy trust finds for our clients. Additionally, she coordinates efforts with co-counsel to investigate and resolve any potential liens that may be attached to our clients’ settlements.
Lauren’s legal experience began at another of the nation’s leading asbestos firms, where she worked closely with Ben Schmickle and Matt Morris, with a wide range of litigation tasks. She focused her efforts toward public and private lienholder resolution to significantly maximize her clients’ settlement recoveries. Lauren has given lectures on this topic to peers and members of the Bar.
Lauren is a Belleville, Illinois native and graduated from Althoff Catholic High School with high honors. She then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her undergraduate studies, earning a degree in History. Lauren obtained her Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Lauren was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois, and is actively involved in the Greater St. Louis community. She serves on several committees affiliated with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and enjoys running, golfing and attending hometown sporting events.
