Caitlynne M. Dixon
Associate
Attorney Caitlynne M. Dixon is an associate at SWMW Law. She joined the firm in 2023, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.
A member of the firm’s Asbestos Practice, Caitlynne works specifically on Litigation Case Development. In this role, she works closely with asbestos clients to communicate case updates, prepare them for depositions, and address any concerns they may have throughout the duration of their case.
Before joining SWMW Law as an attorney, Caitlynne first served as a law clerk for the firm, working remotely from southern Illinois while she attended law school. She conducted legal research and provided support for several departments within the firm’s Asbestos Practice while also practicing in the Domestic Violence and Juvenile Justice clinics under IL Rule 711 and serving as Chief Justice of her law school’s moot court program.u8
A Trusted Advocate
Caitlynne was inspired to become an attorney for a myriad of reasons, most notably driven by the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others while simultaneously giving them an advocate they could trust. Drawn to the complexities and nuances presented in each case, Caitlynne utilizes her inquisitive nature and knack for problem-solving to tailor an individualized and effective approach for every client she represents.
“Throughout law school and my time as a clerk, I’ve honed my skills in both written and spoken word, winning awards for appellate brief writing and oral arguments,” she said. “Utilizing those skills in a meaningful way provides me with a great sense of purpose and fulfillment because it allows me to secure the justice my clients rightfully deserve.”
Caitlynne has established herself as a knowledgeable, intelligent, and tenacious legal advocate, but what she offers her clients goes far beyond the courtroom.
“I grew up surrounded by a family of tradesmen like so many of the clients we represent,” she said. “I, too, am no stranger when it comes to hard work. I graduated early from high school to work full-time as a waitress and save money for college. As a first-generation college student, I worked multiple jobs to put myself through school. I know what it’s like to work for everything you have. It’s important my clients know I understand them and that I can relate to how hard they’ve worked to provide for their families.”
Prior to joining SWMW Law, Ben litigated cases on the civil-defense side for nearly a decade. He defended insurers in coverage matters, companies against consumer class actions, and individuals accused of negligently injuring others
