The conference will feature two days of panels and presentations involving thought leaders from all perspectives and constituencies in asbestos litigation. Participants will include prominent plaintiff and defense attorneys, judges, in-house counsel, insurance professionals, risk managers, and scientific and medical experts.
Schmickle will participate in the panel discussion “The Lung Cancer Docket Update” on Monday, March 7, which will discuss the following:
- A review of recent lung cancer filing trends: When, where and how much?
- Important developments in science and medicine involving smoking and lung cancer: Is there a meaningful impact on the lung cancer case?
- Can strained dockets accommodate the influx of these claims as filings mature?
The event not only provides educational and networking opportunities, but also provides Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits to attendees. This year’s conference will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
