JUUL & eCigarettes
If you or someone you love developed a lung disease, pulmonary disease or seizures after using JUUL or another vaping/e-cigarette product, please reach out to our consumer litigation team. We want to hear your story.
JUUL is an electronic cigarette or “vaping” device developed by Juul Labs, which was first introduced in 2015, and marketed as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes. By 2017, Juul was the most popular e-cigarette on the market, and today the company is worth billions.
Links to Lung Disease
There are currently hundreds of people in the United States who have contracted a lung disease and other respiratory illnesses that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention believe could be directly linked to vaping and e-cigarette use. To date, five people have died from these diseases. Juul products are currently unregulated by the FDA, and are known to have the ability to deliver dangerous levels of nicotine to users.
Illegal Marketing Practices
Several of JUUL’s marketing practices are also being investigated, as federal health officials say the company broke the law by marketing Juul as a reduced-risk or “safer” nicotine product, which the FDA says hasn’t been proven, nor has the company ever submitted their products for testing
