- Asbestos Litigation
Andy Balcer, Senior Counsel
Attorney Andy Balcer is an experienced and respected asbestos litigator who has dedicated his practice to helping others. Early in his legal career, he decided to focus his efforts on fighting on behalf of those injured through asbestos exposure at the hands of their employers.
In his role at SWMW Law, Andy uses his 13 years of experience to manage a team of litigators in the firm’s asbestos practice. He is driven by a desire to make the world a better place and give clients a no-nonsense advocate in the courtroom.
“I was born and raised in a blue-collared, working town and can closely relate to the clients we represent,” Andy said. “I realize the importance of being straightforward and communicating in a no-frills, non-legal way to make sure we’re always on the same page.”
Andy thrives in the fast-paced world of litigation and realizes the importance of tailoring his approach to a case based on each client’s unique situation.
“I’m really drawn to the challenge of putting together each client’s unique case, almost like a puzzle that yearns to be put together,” he said. “I’m critically minded, strategic and naturally drawn to this kind of work. It makes me a great fit for this type of litigation.”
Prior to becoming an attorney, Andy played Division 1 collegiate tennis at Saint Louis University. During law school, he served as the assistant coach of the school’s men’s and women’s tennis teams while simultaneously attending classes.
