Amanda Noel

Associate

Attorney Amanda Noel is an associate at SWMW Law. She joined the firm in 2025, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.

Before joining the firm, Amanda worked at a mid-size firm in their domestic relations department where she litigated dissolutions of marriage, child custody, child support, and spousal support. Prior to attending law school, Amanda worked at SWMW Law as a paralegal in the Bankruptcy Settlement Department.

Working with Amanda

Amanda utilizes her love of reading and writing to create a formidable foundation for those she represents. Understanding that each client comes with a unique set of circumstances, she’s drawn to the challenge that each case brings.

“I think it’s important to remember that our clients are oftentimes going through the worst period of their lives,” she said. “Even though I may have never experienced what my clients are going through, I try to approach each of them with empathy, respect, and patience. They are human beings, and I strive to make sure they feel that way throughout our time together.”

More than anything, Amanda is driven to amplify the voices of the unheard and secure justice for the proverbial underdog.

“I’ve spent much of my life looking out for the underdog and wanting to stand up for those whose voices often go unheard,” she said. “That hasn’t changed. Every day, I try to bring about the change we so desperately need by fighting for those who need me the most.

History of Success

While in law school, Amanda was named a Dean’s Scholar and received the Academic Excellence Award for Family Law. She was a member of the Student Editorial Board and served as Student Editor for the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law. She was also a member of the Women’s Law Association and the First Generation Society. In the Spring/Summer 2025 issue of the Saint Louis University Law Journal Online, Amanda authored an article titled, “Antiquated Practices in Mississippi that are Impeding the Right to Vote.”

Giving Back

Amanda’s dedication to her clients is mirrored by her dedication to the community. She serves as a volunteer attorney with St. Louis Survivors Legal Support (SLSLS) where she represents victims of intimate partner violence in obtaining orders of protection against their abusers. She previously served as a legal advocate with the Court Order of Protection Assistance Projects in the St. Louis City Court and was a teacher at an underprivileged middle school in Northern Mississippi.

Background

Amanda received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi where she graduated cum laude. While there, she also studied abroad in South Africa. She obtained her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law with a concentration on Labor & Employment Law. Outside of the courtroom, Amanda enjoys playing with her rescue dog, Huck, and listening to live music with her husband.
